Dealing with Exhaustion

Alforev, on August 5, 2017 at 11:10 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Has anyone else just felt completely overwhelmed and exhausted? Whether it's related to wedding planning or life in general, what have you done to cope?

I have 2 jobs as a full time teacher and tutor, I am working a summer office position for my district processing grants, I am in grad school and have an insane amount of work that I can't keep up with, I have an internship where I have to work 300 unpaid hours as a school administrator by December, and oh yeah I have a wedding to plan and a thing called a life. It's so overwhelming and I just feel like my brain is fried. I actually forgot about an appointment I set up for my FH and I to listen to a DJ Tuesday so we completely missed it and it's not his fault because I never told him the date (completely forgot even though he asked me!). Smiley sad

Yes, I've felt this way before. It sucks but you can do it! And when it's over you'll look back and it won't seem as bad as it seemed at the time. Take a step back from planning and make time for you and FH. You can do it!

I was finishing up pharmacy school while wedding planning and my husband travels for work. Trying to coordinate our schedules was impossible sometimes. I very quickly realized it was too much for me to handle. We hired a wedding planner and it was the best decision we made. If it is within your budget I really recommend it.

Thank you! I'm trying to make my way through an important paper for my class but I just feel like I can't focus. I know it will get better with time. I'll actually be graduating in May before my wedding so luckily I know I will have time to relax prior.

And @JDSquared I can't imagine the work you have for law school! It's comforting to know that you've gone so far and are feeling better! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Hugs!!!! I totally understand. Back to back product launches at work, with 2 more back to back launches in the fall that planning has started for, volunteer work, planning the wedding, taking care of the household...its s lot. Take some time for yourself and just breathe and have s glass of wine

I have an iron and B12 deficiency and after taking a multi vitamin for a month straight I feel so much better! It's just the Equate brand from Walmart.

You have a lot of time before your wedding. Once you've booked the major vendors (venue, caterer, music and photographer and/or other things that are must-haves for you) give yourself a break until you're done with your internship. Then set aside specific hours during the week to plan, research, daydream etc. good luck!

Yes. I work in a skilled rehab facility as a Physical therapist assistant. Then workout everyday for an hour. I'm on my feet most of the day and lifting heavy patients. By the time I get home I feel completely drained
