Dealing with a Groomzilla

jaycee, on January 6, 2011 at 1:55 AM Posted in Planning 0 2

I love my FH don't get me wrong but sometimes I think he PMS's more then I do. And he stresses out more about the wedding planning then I do. For example one of my BM's got engaged over the holidays (I'm super excited for her and her partner) They are planning on getting married this year 2 months before myself and FH. They chose their date which happens to be the date that the best man and FH were talking about having our Jack and Jill (but had not booked yet) and now FH's nose is out of joint because he thinks she is stepping on our toes. I just want to pick another day for our Jack and Jill (easy solution if you ask me) but he is throwing a fit thinking I'm put her wedding ahead of ours. My BM and her partner are having a small intimate wedding and the fact she wants me there means a lot to me but he doesn't understand.

Men I tell you geesh! Anyone else dealing with Groomzilla issues?

Aww, well at least he's into it! I agree with you though, I doubt your BM is intentionally stepping on toes with a full two months between dates. Yes my little groomzilla has cristal champagne taste on a korbel budget Smiley winking everything we do, he wants to do BIG and that makes me nervous!! I guess I have to be thankful that I'm not trying to squeeze money out of him though

The only Groomzilla issue I had was over the food. I could've cared less if we ordered Dominos Pizza or had an elaborate spread so long as I got my cake and Lefse. But I got him to go my way...Slowly but SURELY I did!
