DB Colors Lapis vs. Plum

Sarah H., on January 18, 2016 at 11:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

So I was browsing through Pinterest when I found a swatch of Lapis from DB. I had originally thought Plum for the BMs but now Lapis looks exactly like what I'm looking for. Has anyone seen Lapis in person? I'm wondering if the online swatch is what it actually looks like.

The best way to see the difference is with a swatch. However, I debated between the same two colors and found that the plum was a little deeper of a color and lapis was a little brighter. They are very similar colors and some dresses come in one or the other. I ended with plum which looked better on my girls and was the shade my BM dress came in.

Lapis is more blue purple and plum is more red purple.

I'm doing Lapis... MNBrude is correct, Lapis is more blue-purple and is gorgeous on the dresses. I recommend you going to the store and looking at a dress in the actual colour, it looks different and better than online or a little swatch.

My BMs dresses were lapis. They were so beautiful. A deep, blue-purple. You can buy the swatches like PPs said or google image the colors and compare side to side to get a better idea.

I found that the online swatches look different than in person. Your best bet is to go to the store. I ended up choosing Regency from David's Bridal. It's bright purple in person, but online, it looked almost blue.
