Daylight savings

Jami, on March 6, 2020 at 9:15 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
Hey ladies! so i'm super torn I just realized my wedding is march 5,2021 which is before daylight savings time. I am having a rooftop wedding at 7 pm. I am now debating changing my date because I do not want it to be dark during the ceremony. The other option i may have is changing the ceremony time to 6 pm. what would you do? would you change your whole date?

Would it not be better for you ? It means an extra hour of sunlight

This far in advance, you could do either. If I'd booked anything, I'd just change the time.

7pm is a late ceremony time anyway! I’d move it earlier... but wouldn’t it be pretty dark by 6pm too? I’d say maybe 5:30

I’d move the time. We are dealing with the same thing, just opposite because we are in November so our date is right AFTER daylight savings time. We googled the time for sunset on that date and it’s 4:30, so we chose our ceremony for 4:00 so we have our ceremony in daylight and can squeeze in some daylight pictures (although my photographer takes FABULOUS night pictures outside). Maybe do that and see when the sun sets and change your time?

A 7 pm ceremony is late. Even if you move the date you might be short on time for good outdoor pictures.
