Davids Bridal Undergarments

Hannah , on September 27, 2017 at 6:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

Hello! I just recently bought my dress from David's Bridal and my consultant said I need the corset bra and slip for the dress to look right.

So my question is, if you bought your dress at DB did you just buy their corset bra and slip?? Or are there better options elsewhere?

I'm looking elsewhere. Their stuff was way higher than I wanted to pay. Amazon has lots of more affordable options.

I brought the slip because I was afraid I wouldn't find the right one. But I purchased my corset bra else where I needed more support

I did purchase my dress and slip from David's bridal (very expensive) I would suggest maybe looking in Macy's for cheaper options

I got my slip from DB just because I had a $40 off coupon from a bridal expo so it made it cheap... for the bra I'm going elsewhere. My sales rep gave me the brand and said Amazon has it cheaper but I haven't looked

I'm buying mine from a specialty bra store. There is a place called Blum' s near me that sells the bustiers for a good price

I bought both from DB. They were both on sale and very cheap. Figured I'd order them so I could cross them off my list.

I'm not wearing a slip, corset, or shape wear. You can even get them to see in bra cups if you're smaller chested. Maybe it's because I only wanted to try on A line and sheath style dresses but my consultant didn't have me wear any of that stuff

I have an A-line dress, so I don't know if i necessarily NEED a slip. I do need that extra "boost" with the corset bra for the bust to fit without alterations.

You can find the same one they sell at David's Bridal online at like Amazon for like half the price. I believe the brand is Dominique.

And, keep in mind that corset bra sizing can be much different from regular bra sizing. I had to go up two band sizes and down a cup size for it to fit properly.

You could probably just get away with a standard push up bra from VS. I have a nice c cup but that wasn't enough for my dresses and the Very Sexy Multiway eliminated all bodice alterations for me

I bought the crinoline slip from there basically out of convenience. It was quite expensive though for something I'll likely never need again!

    @KarenA is right on.

I also skipped their crinoline slip & instead had a local seamstress add a tulle layer to my dress for $20!

Nope, I have my own strapless bra I tried on the dress with and I'm not buying their underskirt

I bought a slip for my prom dress from a garage sale and I'm glad my mom told me to hang onto it for my wedding!

Definitely check elsewhere first! You can't return DB if you change your mind.

Go somewhere else and also bring to another seamstress to get an opinion about alterations and additions for your dress.

Amazon has the same items made by the same people David's bridal uses for about half if not more than half the price of what David's bridal is charging

I just went ahead and bought it from David's bridal. I didn't want to order online because of sizing and I also didn't want to waste time shopping around. It seems like everywhere is super expensive.
