David's Bridal Special Orders

Well, DB often comes in sooner than their estimate because a lot of dresses are in the warehouses, but I would double check with them. I ordered a wedding dress in December that was special order, and they were able to rush it to me in January for my April wedding. So it really depends on the dress. I think they do still come from Asia so maybe.

I am not sure about wedding dresses, but my bridesmaids ordered dresses today and their expected delivery dates are in August.

Sorry, I should have specified they were bridesmaid dresses. The September delivery scares me since our wedding is October 10th 😨

I just order my bm dress this passed weekend And the original dress I wanted her to have would have been here early sept and my re do wedding is aug 22. Db was not offering rushes. Lucky I found a dress that will delivered in a few weeks. Since you don’t need the dress till October you should be fine as long as the dress comes In a few weeks before the date. The last 2 dress I ordered come super early with estimated delivery times a few months. One was order in aug 2019 expected dec 2019. Came oct. the next dress order was in Jan 2020 expected April 23 arrived March 15.

It’s normal because they have to make them in the right color. They try to give you the latest possible date that it’ll be, but they could still come then.

What color do you like? I bet we can find you some near matches from other stores.

Certain colors have to be made so its a special order. My bridesmaids dresses were a special order because of our color. The dresses were supposed to take 4 months but they arrived in 3. One of my bridesmaids didn’t order her dress in time so she canceled her order and since the wedding is postponed she was considering re-ordering the dress but David’s bridal online shows that we are not able to order the dress in our color at all. So double check that ur color is available to order i think they aren’t producing certain colors right now.

So DB is usually super fast and the bridesmaids that ordered their dresses before all of this happened got theirs within a few weeks. The ones that ordered once it hit China really hard have been all over the place. A BM that ordered a less popular dress got hers within a few weeks. The rest of them (probably 5 girls) have yet to receive any update on where they are. Most ordered in February. I think there's really no set time frame. I'd just get it done ASAP so you don't have to worry about it
