Davids Bridal Plus Size Friendly?

I didnt have a great experience personally.
Only 1/8 of the dresses I tried on actually zipped like it was supposed to. (I'm about a 20/22 in jeans for reference).
I'm not sure if that was because I had set a smaller budget or just that their samples weren't great for big girls.

I bought my dress from DB & had a great experience. So it just depends.

Look at cocomelody.com they have a bunch if cute dresses fir plus size. But i wld go to somewhere and try on different styles so u know wat styoe looks good on u

I'd look at David's Bridal online in your size, and see if you like their options. Then call & ask if they have a lot of samples in your size to try on at your local location. I went there for a bridesmaids dress and it was brutal. They are so annoying & not helpful in ANY way even when I called prior to make sure a dress was there (they lied, it wasn't, nor was any dress in my size in that color). Then they sent an ungodly amount of emails after.

I bought my dress there and had a great experience. Abundant dresses in my (plus) size and a great consultant.

From the reviews on here it definitely seems as if there stores are hit or miss with help. I got my dress from DB and my mom's dress and they were beyond helpful. We ended up with 2 consultants with my mom running around the store grabbing everything they could think of it was fantastic and my consultant was fantastic when I found "the one" she brought a few others in the style I "thought" I wanted so I would know for sure.

I think this may be dependent on the individual store but I (a plus size bride) have had 3 separate appointments at DB in KCMO and a couple at other higher end salons. By a land slide DB was the best!

They had so many dresses in my size.

They carried corset bra tops to try on with the dresses and would automatically get you one.

they were very unjudgmental and kind.

Overall it was just a wonderful experience!

We did David’s bridal for bridesmaids dresses for my sister’s wedding and had a wonderful experience. While they carry up to size 30, they will not have every dress in every size so keep that in mind that it may not fit perfectly when trying it on, but they have tons of clips and things to show you how it would look

The attendant at David's Bridal was great, but all the dresses I had as my favorites online were not in the store to try on. They even called around to other stores with no luck. The only way I could try on the dresses was to order them and that meant purchasing. Needless to say, I ended up going to a bridal boutique.

So it depends on what the store has for sample sizes! I would call and see. They had TONS in the bridal section in ABQ NM, but in the bridesmaids section they didn't go over an 18, so it just depends!

I had a good experience there. I didn't end up choosing my dress, but my size for the most part has never felt like an issue there as a bridesmaid or bride. I was always more worried about boutiques although I ended up having a good experience at the other store I went to as well. Since you have to travel I'd just make sure to call ahead of time to make sure it'll be worth the trip. You can also look online and see if they have dresses you like or not before going.

My DB experience was good, I ended up purchasing 2 dresses from them.

My own personal experience twice at a DB near me for bridesmaids dresses was great! However, my friend in another state went for her wedding dress and didn’t have the best experience. So like others have said, it just depends and varies by store, unfortunately. With such a large chain as DB I imagine quality control can be difficult. I would do what others have said and call ahead to see what sizes they offer in some dresses you find online and try it out.

I'm also plus size and went to David's bridal and it was great! I was able to try on dresses and my consultant was nice and funny! I had a great time! Good luck!!

My dress is from David’s and it’s absolutely beautiful. I had a really good experience however I will say that their selection of plus size was not as large as the other sizes. But I think it’s worth a shot, I feel like I found a needle in a haystack because mine was on clearance and fit perfectly- didn’t need any alterations! So it’s worth checking out in my opinion!

Are there any other bridal dress stores in route to this Davids Bridal? I'm going to the nearest Davids Bridal on 3/23 and then to a local shop that next week and will likely go to another place or two as the dress I've been lusting over since we got engaged is apparently 2.5 hours away so that is going to be a trip saved for late spring and if I rule out that shape it might not be required
