David's Bridal New Sedona: Can't See Color in Person?

Patricia, on August 28, 2019 at 1:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Hi!

I'm planning to order bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal since my bridesmaids are all around the country and they offer a lot of variety on a budget. I really like the new Sedona color that just came out but no stores have it because it's an order-only color. So then I thought, okay I can just order a dress online in Sedona so I can see the color and then return it. But Sedona is a special order color which means no returns. I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to see the color ahead of time. Looking at the dresses online don't give the exact shade as what it looks like in person. And I know there is a swatch but it makes a huge difference when you see a color on a whole dress and are wearing it too. (I know that first hand after picking a color online, then seeing the swatch, only to try the dress on in that color and not like it.) I've called customer service twice, tried to see if there were any returns in the color in any size or style, and checked for any samples at DB HQ with no luck unfortunately. Any advice?

Thanks!

Your best bet sounds like it's going to be to order the swatch.

Hey Patricia! I totally understand you worry about ordering your dresses before you can actually see it in person. If you are worried about how it will look with each of your girls skin tones, perhaps you could order a swatch for each of them so that you can see how it looks on each? At least by ordering a swatch, you can see what the color looks like exactly instead of just looking at it online. I know it isn’t the same as seeing the whole dress, but it sounds like your next best option if ordering a dress is out of the question.

Are there any other colors that you are interested in?

Thanks! Yeah perhaps a swatch for each will help with skin tone. I’ll try that. Thank you! I am interested in one other color so maybe I’ll just end up going with that to prevent any regrets!
