David's Bridal - Mesh and Crinkle Chiffon

Kristin, on June 3, 2018 at 11:14 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 1
Did anyone have a bridesmaid in a different material than the rest? My MOH is already going to be in a completely different designer, material and color than all 4 bridesmaids since she didn't like anything at david's and I'm ok with her dress being a different color since she's MOH and I actually like her color better than the purples at david's it just doesn't come small enough for one of the bridesmaids that is a 0 and my jr. Bridesmaid since it only comes in a 6 as the smallest size. One bridesmaid picked out a crinkle chiffon dress and the others all picked is mesh and we didn't even realize it was a problem until after the fact. No one has ordered yet. I noticed on the rack the colors look different in the plum. I changed my color to wisteria to better coordinate with my MOH's dress now that she found one, so I'm going to try to stop in today to see if there's as big of a difference in the lighter color, but I'm wondering if maybe anyone has done this and it's less noticeable on the girls than in the store. Hoping I'm overthinking since I don't want to make her pick a new dress. There isn't anything all that similar in mesh in her size, I thought I found one but then it was sold out in almost all the sizes.

Hi Kristin!! If your MOH is in a different style/color than the bridesmaid then that's totally fine. Based on your post, is the issue that one bridesmaid is in crinkle chiffon and the others are in the mesh? If so, it'll give a more mix and match look which is a very popular trend in bridesmaid dresses. If the colors blend well enough to make a palette or ombre look, then feel free to keep it the way it is. No one has ordered yet so you still have time to find a color and fabric that you like. I think you'll find this article on How To Pull Off Mix and Match Bridesmaid Dresses to be very helpful!
