David's Bridal Layaway?

Ashley1luv3, on August 26, 2018 at 9:35 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Is there any brides familiar with David Bridals layaway plan. I know you have to put 25% but do you know if I can put a sale item on Layaway for the sale price. For instance if I purchase a dress that's originally $1000 but is on sale for $800 at the time I start my layaway will I get the sale price?

I would think it’s on layaway for whatever price you buy it for. Why would the price go up just because you’re doing layaway? That doesn’t make any sense.

You would pay the layaway for the current price. Just make sure it’s not a final sale dress. Those I don’t believe can be put on layaway.

Ok Thank you Kelci. I'm just making sure because I've never ever done a layaway before so I'm not familiar with it.

You put 25% down the day you purchase. Now it is an off the rack sale OR you can do what they call an SOR - Special Order Reserve.. meaning your dress can still be ordered and never tried on and once you pay the final payment they’ll ship your dress to the store from the warehouse.

its still 25% down and you have 2 months to pay it off.

i used to work there and also did an SOR for my dress.

I was going to do layaway but their credit cards are great! Apply for the card and buy the dress and it’s yours. My wedding was only 8 weeks so I didn’t have time for layaway. When you do layaway you pay the price the dress is the day you put it on layaway, no matter the future sales/markdowns. Good luck!!!

Also, the credit card has no interest for six months!

Yes it does apply to bridesmaids dresses as well as long as the purchase is at least $75. I chatted with them online to confirm.

Double check because if I remember right the bridesmaid dress had to be in store off the rack cannot layaway a dress needing to be ordered

If buying several dresses will they give you longer than 2 months to pay for them?
