David's Bridal experience? Plus size?

They had just about everything I wanted to try on either in my size or slightly larger and pinned it. I had a great experience and would highly recommend going there

When I went they were rude because they thought my MOH was the bride and was tools I needed to wait my turn until I get married. When that was corrected, they had nothing in my size (wedding dress size 14) and had to try to imagine dresses size 10 or 12 not making me look like a stuffed sausage. I wasn't pleased.

I had a wonderful David's Bridal experience. They were very helpful. I'm not sure what "plus size" is nowadays, but I am street size 14 and fit in a size 14 wedding dress.

I had a good experience — I was worried about finding a range of options as a plus-size bride, but they had a lot of dresses to choose from, and I ended up finding my dress on the first visit!

From what I’ve see over the years on the forums DB seems to be hit or miss depending on the store. Have you considered looking for a shop that specializes in plus size? Or call ahead to see if a store carries plus size to make your experience better. I would hate to be stuffed into a dress and told to “imagine” what it would be like.

I have had great experiences at the location I went to. I have worked with two different consultantants and both were great. My current consultant is my favorite since the other one quit. There were a lot of plus size styles in stock for me to try on.

If you go to their website you can see what they have in plus sizes. But i suggest you call the store first as not all stores carry all dresses before going to try it on.

I'm a size 22 and I tried on lots of dresses at my local David's.

I am a size 16/18 and loved my DB experience! They had more dresses in my size than I would have ever needed to try on (and I tried on a ton!) I bought my dress from there and have no complaints!

I’m a size 16 and just purchased my dress there...love my dress, didn’t love the lady working with me. They carry a lot of dresses in larger sizes. Some of the ones I tried they gave me a bigger size and just put clips on. I actually didn’t once thing about my size.

biggest recommendation: look at the website before you go. The dress I got was actually my top choice from looking online.

I went to David's Bridal to try on different silhouettes of dresses to help figure out what I want. Found one there that's my back up unless I don't find anything else. The backup actually fit really well with minimal need for alterations which literally never happens for me. I am a size 18/20 with a very large chest and they had tons of dresses for me to try on. As a bonus, my consultant did not bring me a single thing not in my stated budget. I will, though, be driving over 2 hours to visit an exclusively plus boutique as well.

I had a good experience for my bridal fitting. Consultant was great and she pulled some lovely dresses.
I didn’t like the under corset that is necessary in DB dresses. Maybe it’s because my budget was on the low end, but none of their dresses could contain my boobs. They gave me a 38B corset to use to try on dresses, and I am normally around a 34HH in UK size bras.
The fabrics for the dresses felt cheap to me too. Lovely to look at, but all the fabrics felt like itchy tulle, taffeta, and lace. Just not what I was looking for. I think if I had upped my budget slightly while I was there, I might have seen some nicer dresses.

It honestly varies from store to store and how busy they are at the time. When I went pick a dress there was maybe one other bride so the lady helping me was very helpful and I didn't feel rushed. I had a wonderful experience there but again not everyone will have a pleasant one.
