Toys r us already filed for bankruptcy and closed many stores before they decided they were closing all of them, though. If DB hasn’t even filed, they certainly aren’t going to do so and close their doors everywhere in 30 days.

You can check your local boutiques for this color, but since we don’t know your location I don’t know how we’d be able to give suggestions outside of online retailers.

Were using azazie and they have a ton of colors and even more styles. They also do custom sizing for no extra charge. I've ordered swatches and sample dresses from them and it all seems to be very good quality and my girls said the dresses are very comfortable.

I work at Davids Bridal and I would be out of luck if this happened- but I’ve heard no wind of it 🤷🏼‍♀️ Actually opposite, corporate has been making a lot of changes, we’ve been getting a new spring collection style in, we just got a new line to BM dresses in this year- I don’t see our doors closing any time in the near future ☺️ So don’t stress, DB should be safe to go through. I seriously doubt any validity to a story that they may file for bankruptcy in 30 days.

Their debt was recently downgraded into 'junk' territory...they ARE having some issues with financing, but from what I've read analysts are going to keep a close watch over the next 12 months as what they term the 'bridal sector' is changing.

I would predict that IF (and that is really an IF) they reach the point where a bankruptcy is contemplated, it would be Chapter 11 which allows them to remain in business and restructure their debt. That's how Toys R Us started down that road...at Chapter 11, in September 2017. Six months then passed before the death blow, Chapter 7.

There’s an article dated February 2018 staying their yearly earnings. They have a ton of debt but they haven’t filed for bankruptcy. Kmart has filed for bankruptcy like decades ago yet still have stores open. David’s bridal has an advantage now that AA is gone, i personally don’t see them going anywhere for a while.

Go with azazie! they’re amazing! the colors are also very similar to db & you can find all kinds of dresses at reasonable prices. i actually got super lucky & was able to buy a dress for $35 for my friends wedding. custom fit can’t be returned but regular sizing can be. good luck!

I also work at a David's Bridal and haven't heard anything about us closing. As a pp stated we did just get a new line of BM dresses.

I'd go to the nearest David's to have your girls try on the color to make sure you really like it and then if you still have concerns get a swatch so you can have a reference when going to other places to find a similar color.

Are you sure these people aren't getting DB confused with Alfred Angelo, which filed for bankruptcy last summer and closed all stores?

I doubt DB is closing any time soon, the situation you described sounds very unlikely. Given how big DB is, this would be a big news story if this were happening. They wouldn't be able to keep something like this under wraps.

We are getting all our bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal and have heard no wind of anybody closing its doors. In fact our store is always so packed with brides and bridal parties, it's really amazing. They're always hiring too. When I went in to pick out my wedding dress they also tried to hire me. LOL I would go with the dress you like. I also went in with the lace one shoulder on my wishlist and came out choosing something else for my bridesmaids. They have SO many options that are even better in person than in pictures. (: Everybody's been really happy with the choices so far!

David’s Bridal is a multi-million dollar corporation. Even if they do file bankruptcy it would likely be years before or if ever they closed all their stores. It is not the same as the designer stores which are miniscule in comparison.
