David's Bridal Bridesmaids Dresses

Lexie, on November 13, 2017 at 12:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has used David's Bridal for their bridesmaids dresses? I'm getting married in April, and I was trying to figure out when we need to order the dresses? I would like to leave time for alterations. Thank you!

Many people on here have. From what I've read, they can be a toss up, and sometimes have poor customer service. Dresses really vary in the time it takes for them to come in, but I'd probably order much sooner rather than later to allow time for alterations

I ordered all of mine and they came in two weeks! They say it can take up to 4 months, so I erred on the safe side.

I got my girls dresses there and i also work there.

Bridesmaids dresses can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 20 weeks to come in based on, color and style. I would suggest going in sooner rather then later if you plan to use them, just to make sure they can get the dresses in time. Because you also need to factor in about 4 weeks for alterations

I'd call and ask them. I was originally going with them, but the color I wanted was a special order and took 5 months. Two of my girls were pregnant (and both due July/August) and didn't want to guess what size they'd be in December. I went with Azazie instead.

All of my ladies got there dresses from there. My color was a special order, they quoted me 20 weeks on two, but they came in around 6-8 weeks, the rest came in in about 4 weeks.

You need to order them soon, they say 6 months is a good timeline...

I would order ASAP as they recommend 6 months. I will say every time I've ordered from them, the dress has come in sooner than that. My MOH ordered her dress mid-September and it came in a month later. Other of my BP are still waiting. You should be alright, but you are cutting it close depending on the style you select. You may need to do a rush order.

Well, Brooke won for feedback on this thread. I will say that my bridesmaids dresses were weird with ordering. One BM needed a particular size and it was going to take two months, but just one size down would take two weeks. That was so weird to me.

I got my girls dresses there and I too work at David's! It is always best to play it safe! The girls have an iPad with them that can tell them if the style in the color you want will be available for your wedding! Normally, the Vera's take the longest to arrive, and the David's collection is faster. I personally would not recommend getting your alterations there unless all that is needed is a hem, otherwise it can be pretty pricy!

My bridespeople are getting theirs there. I encouraged them to order early, since I was told it could take up to three months for the dresses to come in. It took less than two weeks for all of them. Everyone was also able to find a style that didn't require tailoring.

From the reviews I have read, the main problems people have come up when the dresses need altered.

My bridesmaids ordered from David's in September, only one dress has arrived so far, the others are coming sometime in late December or early January, personally I am hoping the dresses won't need altering, but we'll have to wait and see.

My girls are wearing DB bridesmaid dresses, one of the Vera Wang options. They are good for inexpensive dresses, my only recommendation is to NOT use their in-store alterations department. I've never had a bad experience actually using them, their timelines are just ridiculous (over a month for very simple alterations that should take no more than 5 days, max).

Hopefully you have great workers at your David's Bridal like I do.

Allow up to 3 months for a dress to come in, especially if it's a very popular color. You might be lucky and they will have it in stock or it might come in early. They recommend alterations 10-12 weeks before the wedding. But I've heard that alterations can be expensive so you might be better served finding someone local.
