David’s Bridal Appt - bra & bridesmaids dresses

Kimberly, on June 14, 2020 at 5:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
I have an appointment tomorrow with David’s Bridal for my two bridesmaids (17 year old future step-daughter and 9 year old daughter). I also need to order a bra for me, a long corset type bra. Should I take my dress with me to try on with a bra to make sure we get the right kind? I have never had good luck with just taking measurements and ordering from that for bras. My body doesn’t fit into the usual size for some reason.

I’m also a little worried that they aren’t going to let all three of us be there. Their safety instructions say this:

Limited Store Occupancy

We are limiting the number of scheduled appointments and customers in the stores. To ensure that we can accommodate you, we encourage you to make an appointment—but it’s not required. For the time being, we ask that you limit your guests to 2 at your appointment. We welcome you to invite additional guests virtually!

I am reading that to mean me and two others. Is that how y’all are reading it? I’ve tried calling multiple times but they aren’t answering the phone even though they are open. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would assume all 3 of you would be ok, but I'm not entirely sure. I went into an alterations appointment by myself, and I saw a lot of groups of 3. My suggestion for the bra would be to take your dress because you'll want to see how it fits with your dress - I didn't get to see the full picture until alterations. Then they had to cut down the sides of the corset because of the sheer back of my dress. Not a huge problem, but it was nice to see it ahead of time.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. I’d think it would make sense to try the bra on with my dress to make sure it is all good together. But I wasn’t sure if they will let me do that at this appointment.

I just went dress shopping yesterday. That is what they mean, two guests plus you. However, technically more can come with you (at least at the store I was at) but, they can't come back to the dressing rooms. They have to stay inside the store part.
