So I know there is a lot of controversy over David's Bridal Alterations, and it is impossible to get current pricing online so I thought I'd share from my fitting today. I have to say, I've found David's Bridal to be amazing in all of my interactions with them so far. Buying my dress, buying my underpinnings, and now my alterations. I will admit I have not received the dress back yet, but I will update when I do. All the staff was friendly and enthusiastic about helping. My alterations specialist really listened to what I wanted and gave me feedback on what was possible given the construction of my dress. She also told me every step of the way how.mich an alteration I wanted cost, and went above and beyond to try and help keep costs down where possible. THAT SAID.... It is not cheap. My alterations came to a little over $500 for shoulder adjustments, taking in the bodice, attaching a belt, hemming front petticoats, and a French underbustle. I know it's expensive but so was my dress, and my mother and I felt more comfortable taking it where I purchased it because they Know that dress. Also, my dress is just gorgeous layers and layers of lace and beading details, so the alterations, which are extensive, are also comolicated. For us, it was worth it at this point. And I feel confident in them and I was so happy with the process. I will update when we have the dress back with results.
