Date dilemma

Hi! My FH and I originally planned on an October date but due to scheduling issues we have to push it back. We then decided on June 12th but have come to realize we can save a few thousand dollars by changing to April 24th instead. I live in northern Michigan and the weather is extremely unpredictable (like possible two feet of snow unpredictable). Any advice out there?

I live in Upstate NY so we also have unpredictable weather. If Michigan is anything like NY you could easily still have snow in April or if not snow, very muddy and very rainy. So April could still be great especially if you're able to save money just make sure you have a backup plan if the weather doesn't cooperate!

Hey Arianna, welcome to WeddingWire! I think if you're having an indoor wedding or have a backup to your outdoor then you should be okay.

If you’re having an indoor wedding you should be fine! The only other consideration is if you have lots of people traveling. We have most of our guests flying in (50% from new england) so a winter wedding was a no-go for us because I didn't want to worry about flight cancelations messing with guests getting there. By April you should be okay, but I totally get the unpredictable weather fears
