You’re less likely to have people show up on a Thursday. Also, if you already sent your save the dates, I would worry about the hassle of remaking them and resending them, unless it’s a big deal for you to have it in May!

I would keep it for March. Is there another date in May that would appeal to you both? I agree with Farrah, people are less likely to attend a Thursday wedding for sure!!

I agree more people would be able to attend Friday, so keep your date Smiley smile

I would keep it in March. Unless it is really important for you to get married in May. If it is then see if your venue can change your day without making you pay more and sometimes Thursday weddings are cheaper. I’m having a Thursday wedding and tons of people are still coming.

A Thursday wedding would be really hard to go to.

Friday will get you a better turnout and happier guests than a Thursday would! Also March is sooner! Lol. You made the right call imo Smiley smile

Unless I lived extremely close, and had the next day off work, I wouldn't attend a Thursday wedding! Your date is perfect! Smiley smile

You will probably have a better chance of your guests showing up on Friday.

I agree with everyone, unless your venue is something like a botanical garden and the flowers wont be in bloom, which would negate the purpose for having the wedding there. Guests will be much happier with a Friday wedding than a Thursday one.

Unless the date in May is special and means something to the both of you, I would honestly just keep the date you have right now! I feel like it'd be way easier to plan for a Friday wedding anyhow. BUT you have to go with whatever you two feel is going to make you the happiest. (:

Only have a Thursday wedding if your guests are local and you know they can make it. Mine is Wednesday but most of my guests work on weekends or have flexible schedules. If you want your guests to come, their work schedules and travel distance should be factored in.

I think we found a solution. What do you guys think? Were going to keep our March 20th Friday date and have our big grand wedding as planned and then on May 1st is when we will sign the legal papers and have a smaller intimate celebration on May 1st at our home Smiley smile Is that crazy? I'm a Libra so the party planning is what I'm good at and love to do! haha

I like your new plans. I think that people might have a difficult time making it to a Thursday wedding so I would chose a Friday too.
