Darken windows

Stacey, on May 20, 2017 at 8:59 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

So I have picked my venue and there is several windows inside and I am wanting to go with the romantic candle-lit ceremony and reception. These windows do not have curtains and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to darken them so that I can get that romantic feeling. Do any of you have any ideas on what I can do to keep the sunlight from coming through these windows?

Your cheapest bet would be to use the natural sun set to your advantage. Adding curtains or fabric to block light is going to be additional cost and you'd have to find a way to hang it. You could see if the venue has a solution.

You could play around with some draping, but I agree that it will be hard without an evening wedding.

You can apply a sun blocking film. It goes on with just water and peels off. You will need scaffolding or a cherry picker to reach those windows.

I can only have the venue til 10. So my ceremony will be at 3 an reception after. Will my candles still look okay with the natural sunlight coming in?
