Dancing shoes (flip flops)?

Rachael, on September 23, 2017 at 10:40 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 12

I have seen on Pinterest ideas for "dancing shoes" for the women AKA flip flops. Anyone doing this? Is it weird or fun? Is it expensive?

You can buy them in bulk for pretty cheap on Oriental Trading. I'm not doing this but a friend did at her wedding and I thought it was a great idea!

If you do this make sure your DJ is awesome. A family member of mine did this and no one really danced so it was a waste of money on them.

I would rather dance barefooted then in flip flops.

My old company used to do this at holiday parties. Personally it seems like a wasted extra cost.

Old Navy does a sale at the beginning of summer for $1 flip flops. They have a ton of different colors.. I think it's a cute little addition but not necessary!

We are doing this but with hotel slippers. We chose those because they will stay on people's feet and you don't have to have different sizes.

I would trip if dancing in flip flops! If my shoes start to hurt I'd rather go shoeless and hope that drinks aren't allowed on the dance floor so that there aren't spills or broken glass to worry about.

We are doing this! I totally spaced it off all summer and when I went to buy them it was slim pickings. I ended up getting some for $2.50 from old navy. I just got a few random of each size, more of sizes 8&9 since they're most common.

I think it's a waste to be honest. I wouldn't want to change from pretty heels to flip flops. I'd rather be barefoot

All the weddings that I've been to that have flip flops out are been popular and utilized by lots of the guests. I'm purchased about 35 pairs from the old navy $1 flip flop sale.

I've bought about 10 pairs, and plan to buy more. I'll be encouraging my guests to wear comfortable shoes though Smiley smile
