Hey everyone my fiance and I need help coming up with things to do during our reception because we will not be able to dance. The church that we are getting married at and holding our reception in doesn't allow people to dance at their wedding. They don't believe in dancing and since we had a hard time finding a church venue that would allow us to get married in December of this year we don't want to give it up. We are on a tight budget so we cannot afford to hire live entertainment so we are at a loss of what to do. If anyone has any ideas it would be most helpful!

A lot of people do games instead or I went to one that didn’t have anything at all and people just mingled amongst themselves

I told FH that is covid made it to where we couldn’t have dancing, we’d do bingo 😂

A video montage of you both, table of childhood photos for guests to look at, additional speeches, balloon release, or something we incorporated was to have all essential and healthcare workers stand for recognition and my husband thanked them on behalf of all of us ❤️ Hope this helps!!!

We couldn’t dance at my friends wedding so she had everyone in the bridal party give a speech. I know you may be thinking Whoah those are a lot of speeches (5 on bridal and 5 on groom), but the dj spread it out perfectly throughout the night so it wasn’t back to back.

She also had each of us come up with games, but we only got to one of them: family fued.

DIY photobooth! set up a backdrop and get some props (you can find them for super cheap on Amazon and other places)
