It depends. My cocktail hour begins at 4. By 4:45, I want everything started reception wise. I plan to open the dance floor by 5:45 and keep everyone dancing till 8. Our families love to party.

It will depend on all of the activities that you plan to have. Try to get as much dance time as possible but start tour timeline and that will tell you what you have left for dancing.

I've allotted about an hour and a half for dancing, with cake cutting and bouquet/garter toss (if we do them) also during that time. I really don't see many people dancing at our wedding, myself and FH included. Just not our style Smiley smile
