Dance Floor Rental

Katy, on May 5, 2019 at 10:13 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5

Smiley heart Hi Ladies! The place we are renting for the Reception has carpet only. How important is a hard dance floor & what is a good estimate/price other Brides to be are getting to "rent a dance floor"? The lowest quote we got was $280. Is that good? Smiley heart

My venue is carpet and I actually declined the dancefloor to save 500. People can dance on carpet, especially after some liquid courage lol

I personally prefer a hard surface to dance
one - easier to clean if something is spilled, also depends on your guests. Brother breakdances and I ballroom and we can’t do that too well on carpet. I also prefer the look of a nice dance floor.

As for the pricing, it depends on what color and how many people you want to fit on there. Seamless white is more expensive than wood flooring for the vendors I asked in SoCal. How big was the floor that you got quoted for?

I would absolutely rent a dance floor. It's a lot more difficult to dance on carpet.

Hey Katy! How thick is the carpet? Did the venue tell you what other couples usually do for their dance floor? 280 sounds like a pretty good quote to me depending on the size, and does that include set up and break down?
