Dance floor lighting necessary?

Definitely not necessary. We opted out of dance floor lighting. It reminded me of prom or a nightclub.

Extra dance floor lighting isn’t a necessity so you can decide what you feel is best for your wedding. Has your DJ any images or footage of the difference between extra lighting and no extra lighting so that you can make a decision based on whether it will suit your wedding or not?

Will you have a photographer and/or videographer? If good candid dance floor shots are important to you, maybe ask the photographer/videographer? Not sure if it makes a difference in photo/video quality.

You don't need it. Uplighting is enough to transform the room. Dance floor lighting is not needed. A custom floor monogram light came with our package but if it didn't it wouldn't have been an issue.
