Dallas Bachelorette Weekend

Marissa, on October 12, 2016 at 9:05 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 18

My bridesmaids and I are thinking about going to Dallas for my Bachelorette party/weekend. Is anyone from that area or have suggestions about what we should do while we are there? We are going in February. Also, my cousin is one of my bridesmaids and she will only be 18. Any suggestions are appreciated!

@Elizabeth K- Dallas was not my 1st choice, but it's hard to find a weekend that works for everyone. And Dallas is about 4 hours away so if someone needs to leave early or come later they can. We are from Shreveport, LA. If you have other suggestions of places, I'm open lol

Go to Uptown. - specifically McKinney Avenue. There are lots of bars along the street (lots of them), plus easy access to other places. Lots of young people are usually out on Friday and Saturday also. It's going to be pretty chilly in February and I'm not sure if there are many places in Uptown for people under 21, but it's worth a shot.

Not at all. I was just curious if you were going to Dallas for a specific reason to guide suggestions. Personally, I love New Orleans. Tons to do. But it looks like the other ladies have some good suggestions for Dallas.

    Spa weekend?

I love going to King Spa and Spa Castle (Carrollton, TX - Dallas suburb).

If I'm correct, Spa Castle now has hotel rooms.

For my bach we went went to dinner at the Meddlesome Moth in the design district and then to Pete's Dueling Pianos up in Addison. I live in Deep Ellum and that's really fun too, great food, quirky bars (I personally love On Premise, they serve some awesome food) and music venues, there is also a piano bar. I'd stay away from downtown. Uptown has awesome food, bars, and a clubs. King Spa is awesome (check groupon if you decide to go) if you want to spend all day relaxing.

What do you like to do?

Our original plan was New Orleans, but the weekend we chose is in the middle of Mardi Gras and hotels are booked solid in February lol

These have been great suggestions! Definitely going to check out Pete's! What about some interesting and quirky things to do during the day?

Can you make it all the way to Austin?

Literally the only thing to do in Dallas is go out to eat or to a bar. At least in Austin you can go swing dancing, our out on the lake, or to a winery, or on a hike, or float, or...

I'm from the Dallas area and agree with what others have said. Uptown, McKinney ave. downtown Fort Worth is fun, Stockyard's if you want a tourist experience.

Is San Antonio too far away from you? If I was you I'd go there instead of Dallas. The Riverwalk is awesome and would make for a great Bachelorette party!

Hi there! What are your suggestions on places to go in Austin? I'm planning my bachelorette party there but kind of lost on fun stuff to do! I visited there years ago and basically just toured the state capital and went bar hopping, lol.
