Why talk him into anything? FOB can choose for himself. Meanwhile, is that green the bridesmaids dress color, or just random? Because FOB is family, and even if GM and BM coordinate, no need for him to. He is your escort going down the aisle. And the rest of the night, he is MOB or his SO escort. He need not coordinate with any GM or BM. If he were dying to match, let him. But no need to at all. Fathers are different. Just should not clash, i.e. no purple dots on orange type clash. But any solid med to dark tie , and if not into colored vests, he can choose a jacket or a vest to match the pants ( even though rest of guys in vests, dad could wear jacket if he wants.

He's not really a Tux kind of guy. That's what I mean by talking him into it. I have to talk him into whichever one is chosen but he's only worn a tux twice, at both his weddings, that's it. But It'll be easier to talk him into the black with a green tie as apposed to the bright colors.

I feel like if he would be more comfortable in the second one, you should do that. You want him to look like “him,” not something he had to be talked into lol. When you look back on your photos you don’t want to be thinking “yeah that looks nothing like what my dad would normally wear, but I talked him into it” you know?

Maybe let him choose? I think he’d appreciate you allowing him to pick an option rather than feeling forced to wear something he’s not comfortable with. Just an idea! They’re both great options.
