My dad's gift for the wedding came in the other day and honestly it made me cry. I decided to get him a patch for the tie I bought for him. My parents are divorced and he lives a few hours away from me, so I don't get to see him a lot. However, my dad is basically like my best friend. He has supported me through so much and has always stuck by my side no matter what. I wanted to get him something that would show him how much he means to me. I know there are people on here who don't have a father figure in their life, or their father is no longer here, and my heart truly goes out to you if that's the case.
