Daddy-daughter dance/ walk down aisle

IdahoBride, on July 27, 2017 at 10:25 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

My dad and I aren't very close but I am semi close with my step dad. He hasn't been around my whole life about since I was 14 or so. My bio dad is a nice guy but an alcoholic who really didn't put to much effort into my growing up. I'm thinking I might have both of them walk me down the aisle (maybe? Idk would that look bad?) but for the daddy daughter dance I want to do one with both. I basically just don't want to hurt bio dads feelings. Anyway, I'm thinking two full songs would be too much. How would you do this? Maybe half a song for each and have step dad cut in? I'm not sure. Ideas welcome!

I love the idea of them both walking you down the aisle I would do a longer song and have then cut in you know like alternate does that make sense

Both walking down the aisle is nice and doesn't look weird. I would choose two different songs but only have the DJ/band play 2 minutes of each song. Once the first is over have him say "the bride's step father would like a special dance as well" and start the next song. Something like that
