Going through similar stuff here. My fiance's dad passed away two weeks ago.

He was a veterinarian who loved birds. So we bought a figuring of his favorite bird and are asking the florist to incorporate the oriole figurine into the wedding arch decorations.

I'm so sorry for your loss...hopefully you were able to spend lots of time with him and make plenty of memories
