I purchased a template (under $10 on Etsy) and then printed them myself at home. Purchased the cards and envelops from amazon. Printed 75 save the dates for under $40!

Not sure i've seen free save the date templates, except probably instructions for how to create your own at home. Use your computer, open up microsoft word/publisher and see what you can do, adding text, pictures. Then print. You can always purchase a save the date template online for a few bucks then pay the cost to print them at a fedex, staples, etc. However, there is a cost associated with some part of this. You are either buying the ink/paper to print yourself or paying a copier company to print the amount you need. Remember print per household, not per person.

I am going to save this post. I found a really awesome site that lets you create great Save the dates, invites, menus and all. I spent forever searching since i wanted to create my own invites (my mom wants to order Save the dates magnets so she is paying for that). when I get home I will give you the site since its bookmarked there and im at work

Ok so here are a couple of DIY sites i have found.

For invites (this site is really cute) http://www.cardsandpockets.com/freeweddinginvitationtemplates.aspx

save the dates, invites, thank you cards and more (i linked to there save the dates section but go to the top for more items) https://www.greetingsisland.com/invitations/announcements/save-the-date

and then on here I found a lot of other links that got me to the two above https://www.thebalance.com/free-wedding-invitation-templates-1358246

I hope these helps, a lot of these can be printed at home and possibly for very cheap by printing them at like walmart or walgreen or even like freeprints.com i think is the site or shutterfly.com

Thanks for the info ladies. We were thinking calendar magnets from Vistaprint. They may be a bit pricey, but we will order a minimum of ten to see how they come out.

Honestly I got my save the dates on vistaprint (I didn’t like any of their designs so I designed my own but had vistaprint print them) and got them for 25$. Also saved me the hassle of dealing with printing and cutting and all that.
