If not, do you have Any other suggestions? Is it worth trying to DIY it? Is it possible for a florist to be more cost productive than DIY? Help please!

Edit:: Great ideas here!! Does anyone have any Input on dried flower arrangements for the bridal parties? I would love some pictures if you have any experience with this!

Went with Clutches for my girls, none on the tables about 7 bouts, 2 corsages and of course my bouquet. Ordered online at a wholesale place. Spent $250.00 for 100 Ranunculus. One of my BM's will put them together for me.

If you don't have much for the flower budget have you considered checking with a floral design school? Yes they are students doing your bouquet but there are instructors overseeing it. OR you can do just a few flowers rather than a huge bouquet, depending on your size/theme of your wedding it could be just as beautiful.

Hi, great question! I looked into the same things for my wedding and I actually found a great florist who works out of her home and creates modern looks at very affordable prices! She even said she does silks too. Her website is below if you want to contact her, she gave me a free quote and was very prompt and friendly www.garnetevedesigns.com

Not having any flowers at all, neither for decoration nor as a bouquet, so we don't have that to think about.

However, I second the farmers' market and florist course suggestions as paying wholesale for the same thing as you will get in the shops sounds eminently sensible, plus giving a local budding (pardon the pun) florist the chance to tuck some experience under his/her belt is a great community-spirited idea.

I think I'm going to order the boutinneries (seriously, how to spell that word?) and my bouquet from an pre-made online wholesaler, but we're doing sunflowers, so I'm going to just put one in each vase at the reception tables, and I'm debating having my BMs carry a single large sunflower tied off with a ribbon instead of a complicated bouquet.

Hi, I have my own flower business and I offer custom designs in fresh, silk or dried flowers at very affordable prices if you are interested. I can deliver and set up anywhere in southeastern MI or surrounding areas. I am very thrifty myself so keeping prices low wouldn't be a problem. I have 16 years experience in floral work- give me a call or email if you're interested! I could even just give you tips and advice on DIY :-)
