Using fake flowers, found an amazing deal on my dress which saved me over $800+, having our big wedding in March which isn't wedding season so it saved us 10% off the package (per person) price etc

Well Covid cut a large cost for us. We went from 150 to 55-60 (still have a few who have not decided yet) and we also cut out all paper item's at the wedding aside from escort cards. Program, timeline, and all other information is on our website and we created a QR code (free) to have printed on to stickers ($30.00) that we will attached to our welcome bags for guests to scan. We will also have the sticker posted in a few other places for later scanning as well. We also saved on Floral by having a lot of DIY decor and reusing BM bouquets as the table centerpieces at reception. We will have 7 guest tables and 7 BM bouquets, just pop them into the vases in the center of the table during cocktail hour and DONE. We are right at $25k for our entire wedding including honeymoon, wedding ceremony, reception, and outfits. Additionally, our venue is pretty much all inclusive (aside from photography, DJ, florist, string trio) so we have been making payments to venue since last June. We paid our other vendors in cash up front early on in the planning process so all we have left to pay is the roughly 10% we still owe venue and tip's for vendors. I HIGHLY suggest PAY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN EARLY and stay in budget!!

We chose a venue that included table linens and real dinnerware with their package at no extra cost. Venues in my area don't offer that so we would've had to rent it all which adds up FAST.

We're also using a ton of decorations from the venue's storage which are also at no extra cost.

We're going very minimal on the flowers (they're going to die so why spend thousands on them??).

I ordered our STDs and invite templates from etsy which are fully customizable. I plan on buying cardstock from hobby lobby or walmart and printing them at home...or uploading them onto vistaprint!

I'm also not wearing a veil and we're not having a flower girl or ring bearer, So that's more money saved on things we don't need.

Gifts for our bridal party are going to be bought around holidays that have good sales going on. For monogramed stuff, my FSIL is making any decals I need for free!

My way of cutting costs was getting alcohol from a previous bride for a good cost, I got over 88 beers for only $70.

Yes! That’s always important. When looking I chose an all inclusive venue that included dinnerware and decor. So I’m only responsible for the liquor and any personalized decor.

    That’s seems like huge savings!

Thanks for this breakdown! We are 50% paid with about 8 months to go. We chose an all inclusive venue as well which included full design and decor, and silverware. I love the idea of using the bouquets as centerpieces! It’s brilliant!

Agreed! We feel in love with the first venue we found which was close to where we live, but it only came with the tables and chairs so we would've had to rent everything else.

Def. saved us a huge chunk!

Lots of research into vendors. We found new (but very well-reviewed) businesses that have lower prices to build their portfolio. Also having a small wedding (~60) so we are able to book our dream venue!!

Booking a venue that is all-inclusive, small wedding party, using artificial flowers/greenery, and opted out of using videography, no party favors, DIY/minimal decor.
