Cutting Corkboard

JustDorrie, on March 12, 2017 at 7:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

I'm working on the display that we're doing instead of a guest book. I bought a shadow box, I'm going to glue our initial inside. I'm cutting out hearts so people can write on them and drop them in the box. I had no idea how hard it is to cut cork board! My hand is killing me

What thickness corkboard? If your hand hurts then your blade may not be sharp enough. I make display boards for disney pins and cut cork board frequently. I find if my hand hurts I need to have my scissors sharpened. If I am using a blade I change it out. Also if using a blade such as an exacto knife, is in a comfortable handle for you?

It's a brand new exacto knife, it's not very comfortable. I'm not sure of the thickness, but out isn't tho thick. I might try a new blade, and recruiting some help
