Cutlery and dishes for receptiom

Tasha, on January 24, 2020 at 7:13 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 17
This might be a crazy question but I am having a buffet style reception and wanted to know if using plastic heavy duty plates and cutlery is OK? or should I try to rent glass? I'm so confused. I want everything to look nice.

If you feel that plastic plates and cutlery look nice and meet your standards, then go with it!

If your wedding isn’t very formal then plastic is fine.

Depends on how formal your wedding is. If it is formal I would recommend renting real dishes.

I’m having buffet style as well and had the option between disposable and glass. i chose the disposable. it is a higher end disposable set so it’s definitely gonna hold up!
at first i was leaning towards the glass but when i attended the two other weddings before my own i realized i payed absolutely no attention to what i was eating off of and don’t even remember! i just remember how much fun i had that night! (also a plus it’s a cheaper option) lol

Plastic cutlery can look great. If it's less expensive and up to your standards, why not?!

We're doing plastic for the wedding, but a heavy duty plastic. We're buying our set off of Amazon. If you were doing a sit down dinner and not a buffet, I could see the possibly of renting glassware, but since you are doing a buffet, heavy duty plastic would be easier.

Nope, not at all!! You can make an account with them though. Here's the link!! https://www.webstaurantstore.com/

When you go to the website, check out the disposable tab. You'll be happy that you did!! Lots of pretty choices, great reviews and one thing I really like is when customers post the items they've received and they review them. I LOVE that aspect, so you feel good purchasing from them. Check it out!!

It depends on how formal your wedding is.

I personally think that is completely okay! A lot of times you can find caters that will offer this included in the price. As a guest I just worry about the food and not what I am eating on.

We are doing plastic -- we are very budget-conscious, and no one in our family will care if they are eating off glass or plastic. Plastic FTW!
