I love this idea! I wish I could do this at my wedding but unfortunately I feel like that would open up to many can worms between some of my guests LOL But I think this is a great idea

This is ADORABLE! I was actually thinking of doing something similar. The first half of the song will be just me and my dad then half way through we will invite all the other daddy-daughters to join us.

I think that’s a really cute idea. Not sure if you remember What A Girl Wants with Amanda Bynes and Colin Firth, but Amanda’s character and her mom worked weddings and that’s what usually happened at those weddings. The bride and her father started it out, but then other father-daughters joined the dance floor as well.

Start with just 4 of you and then invite all the others to join. But cute no tacky.

This is adorable and I'd totally be melting over all the kiddos.

I think it's a beautiful idea. However, something like this would leave me sobbing in the bathroom. My dad passed away before I got married, so I was not able to have a father-daughter dance at my wedding. I danced with my brother (and cried all over him at the wedding) - but I have yet to be able to be at a wedding and sit through the father-daughter dance. It just hurts too much. Having all the fathers and daughters dance would be like salt in an open wound.

I still think it's a beautiful idea, just wanted to add another perspective.

View Quoted Comment I actually had this thought as well.. my FMIL’s biological dad just passed away, but her parents have been separated and with new people since she was a kid so she’s had another father figure her whole life.. my wedding is in November so I still have time to think about this.

I didn’t think so at first when I thought of the idea and I was like hmm is there even going to be enough people to make this work so I started looking at my guest list and I was like wow I do actually have a bit. I think it was going to be like 6 sets for each.
