Custom Veil

Shari, on January 14, 2021 at 11:19 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
Hello fellow brides!
I said yes to my dress about 3 weeks ago and while it’s not set to arrive and ship back to me until July, I’m trying to figure out my veil situation.

My dress is what the designer calls “cashmere” colored (faint, light grey-white) with white beaded roses all over. My conundrum is this: what color veil should I actually purchase since these things come in every thing from “diamond white” to “ivory” and “antique”? Also, does anyone have any recommendations on where I can purchase or have my veil custom embroidered in either California or Florida? I’d like to have my grandfather’s favorite flowers added in his memory.

Also most veil fabric is very thin so a color difference will not be that noticeable

Is your dress by Hayley Paige? I wore a HP dress and it was cashmere! Anyway, when I went to my seamstress, she was able to take fabric that was cut off of my dress during hemming and use it in making a veil.

I knew as soon as you said Cashmere 🤣. Yes, she takes regular veil material (it comes in many colors) and used my dress material to line the bottom. I considered the matching veil for my dress, but it was like $700 & I couldn’t bring myself to pay that! She made them custom for $150!

Thank you so much!! I'm taking this idea to my seamstress to see what she can come up with!
