Custom Postage Stamps and Where to Find them?

Mrs._S, on December 10, 2017 at 7:24 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8

Along with my intense DIY invites for the wedding, I was given the idea to try custom stamps just for the outside envelope not necessarily for the RSVP envelope but I wasn't sure where to look. I tried zazzle and shutterfly and they seem to be more expensive than a regular stamp. I get they are custom but my step mother said they have them somewhere for the same price. She is looking into it but I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions. I'd probably do something with our faces on it or the wedding date maybe.

They're going to be around twice as expensive as regular stamps. I've never seen them to be the same as a regular stamp, that seems counterintuitive. If that's the case, everyone would have custom stamps.

Its an unnecessary cost... they're so much more expensive so i dont really know why you will want to do this. Zazzle and shutterfly are the only two places that do them, i think.

but for real just buy the wedding celebration Forevers from USPS and save the money honestly, because no one is going to keep the envelope... this is just one thing i really, really dont see the point in doing.

I believe FB99 had custom stamps if she's still around. Not sure though with all the knowledgeable regulars that were lost.

Why would any custom project be the same price as the non-customized alternative? It's extra work to customize something, so yes the cost of the extra work is passed on to the consumer. I believe your stepmother is mistaken.

I was wrong, it was TRJ. Again though, not sure if she's still around.

I was looking at personalized stamps on Black Friday, just to see. I can't remember exactly which website I was on but it was either Zazzle/minted or a similar one- even with a discount they were more expensive. Obviously do as you please- but as a guest, your envelope will be thrown into my garbage before I even notice what your stamp looked like, I'd save your money. The post office does sell the Forever Stamps that say love, for the same price as other forever stamps though.
