Custom Bridal Shower and Rehearsal Dress

Some people on here had asked me to come back and post my custom bridal shower/rehearsal dress when it was finished. Well here it is. 😀 I got the dress custom made out of my moms wedding dress from 30 years ago. (They just celebrated their 30 anniversary this past 17th. 🙌 ) my mom had really wanted me to wear it for my wedding but it was a size 0 and I am A size 12-14. As you know it would not have been able to be altered without changing the dress. I love the dress and think it is beautiful. I wanted to use it in some way for my wedding. My sister ultimately said she wanted the top and I wanted a dress and garter to honor my mom as she had saved it for us. I’ll be using it for my bridal shower, the rehearsal, and for our honeymoon photos we are doing. Attached are pictures of the original dress on my sister, my dress, and the details of the bottom and strap. She used the bottom of my moms dress to make the bottom of mine and took beading from the various parts of the dress to attach it to the strap. Bonus! It also has pockets. I’m very happy with it.
