Custom Bridal accessories?

Lisa, on October 23, 2019 at 5:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 2
I'd love to make a headband from my mom's long train. Her dress/whole ensemble was absolutely beautiful and has pretty much been perfectly preserved.
I am located in NYC. Any suggestions on how I find someone that can do this? Would this fall into a specialty tailor category? help!

I would look for a seamstress that specializes in bridal apparel and accessories. I had my dress and veil custom made by a local dressmaker I found on Yelp.

    Hey Lisa!

This is such a wonderful idea! Will you count this as your ‘something old’?

I definitely think that you should start looking into some local seamstresses that have experience working with bridal accessories. You will be able to check out their online reviews to find some reputable places. You could also ask some family members or friends whether they have any recommendations.

Do you have a vision in your head of what this headband will look like?
