I've been engaged for almost ten months and have come no closer to seeing a hair inspo pic I like. Here's what I know:

1) I have naturally curly hair and want to keep the natural curls, so no updo and no straightening and then curling.

2) When dry it's just past my shoulders/at the top of my chest, so I don't have super romantic long hair to work with but it's not super short either. I'm stuck in between so I can't do a lot of styles (like those that use the big loose braids) that require more hair.

3) I absolutely want a veil (and have one already) but I love the look of hairpieces as well. I'm just afraid doing both with all my curls out would end up looking too busy/too much going on. But then again I won't have the veil on beyond the ceremony...

Does anyone have inspo pics for styles for caucasian naturally curly hair? So many ive found are the curled hair that comes from styling. Or examples of a hairpiece and veil that aren't with an updo? I've combed Google myself but am just not having luck.

Thanks for sharing the picture but unfortunately not sure it would work with my veil. I don't want to wear the veil low so I think I'd have to at least have half up half down or something to pin it in higher up? I've combed old threads to no avail!

I have pics of my hair but not the veil! It's a very very basic fingertip (pencil edge) if that helps.

I don't really like how this placement looks with hair all the way down but I like the veil kind of flowing around my shoulders.

Okay, few more questions that I'm having as I'm researching! Are you not wanting to do an up-do at all because you don't like the look of it or because you don't think it's possible with your hair? It looks like I have the same thickness/length hair as you (expect mine is pin straight - can we trade please?!) and I'm able to do updos (with a lot of teasing and hair spray, of course). It sounds like you want the veil to be placed not at the top of your head (like the bride in the picture) but not on the lower end - so maybe a bit above the middle of the back of your head? And what type of headpiece are you thinking of/picturing? Like more of a headband or a clip?

Are you open to an updo if you can still keep your natural curls?

If not, I would leave your hair and maybe do a simple braid on the sides that meets in the back. You can put a pretty hair piece on the top where you put your veil.

Another option is a large loose braid that just falls in the back. Same hair piece and veil placement as my suggestion above.

Front too straight. LolLOVE the back!!Side view with the hair ornament that will be in front of my veil. My veil has a blusher. Veil is pale pink.

First off, you are amazing! Thanks for putting sooo much thought into this! I don't want an updo because it looks nice but I don't feel like me/look like me! I want at least some of my hair down and curly because I finally love my curls! Took years! Also, they stay, when I get the whole straightened to curl thing, ironically.... Those curls fall out haha!! The clip I found and really liked just an hour or two ago is small, like the one in the third picture:

I have a hair and make up trial for January, but I'd like to go in with some inspo pics!

I feel like some variant of half up and half down would work best but I want to jazz it up somehow. I'd like some whimsical, loose braids worked in, but I'm terrible at picturing it or finding it!

This teased half up, half down look would look amazing with that clip and your curls! The clip could be a good way to "glam up" the hairstyle in the back with the veil too!:
Love this look with the natural curls:
Her hair is a little bit longer than yours but this is still totally doable! It looks like two fishtails connecting in the back and then you could put your veil where they meet or even higher (if you wanted to!):
