Curious - What is/was your hair and make up budget for Bride?

Bridecb, on November 9, 2017 at 11:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

Wondering what others have or will spend on bridal hair, make up, trials, etc. Feel free to share pics of your trials as well if you'd like!

My trial is $100 but I'm choosing to do hair and makeup separately so it will be a little more. Hair is $75 updo, $65 half up and $55 blowout. Makeup is $75 or $95 for airbrush. Prices are same for bride/bridal party/family!

I'm in southern CA and I paid $125 for hair and airbrush makeup trial, not including gratuity. Day of will be $200 not including gratuity. I have a team coming to our hotel to do hair and makeup for my bridal party, each person is $150 for hair and makeup, not including gratuity. I had my trial done for my bridal shower and thought it worked out great.

    Hair: $65 including trial

    Makeup: $40 including trial

Both are professionals I know well and use regularly so they may be giving me some kind of deal...it seems like a lot of others have had to pay separately for their trials.

My HMUA charges $50 for every service (airbrush makeup, hair, trial, day of). So for me the total will be $200. And they are traveling to our hotel. They do require a minimum of three people ($150 min) getting each service the day of though, so if my BMs decide against it further down the road, I'll have to cover that extra expense.

Very little, with a large wedding budget. I could have done it myself.

We are a two bride wedding and we are looking at just over $600 (for both of us) before tip. This will include hair trial, make-up trial and day of with the travel fee, air brush & lashes.

I have noticed that hair and makeup were much more expensive than I expected. I spent $100 on hair and make up for my engagement pics. My trial is $140 for both and then my day of is $180. When it is all said and done I will have spent $420 on my hair and make up. Since I am spending so much, she did cut the price down and is giving my bridal party hair and make up for $100, which I will be paying some of.

So I don't have prices to share but still related advice. You will get all different prices. First prices vary depending on the location. People tend to charge according to the people they have in their area. It also depends on if you go to the salon to get everything done or they come to you. I am a hair stylist and I know a lot of stylist's that charge a fee for leaving the salon. And for makeup it depends if you get air brush or not. I recommend lots or research. See who has great ratings then call for quotes and compare. Also something that no one ever thinks about is to call up your nearest beauty school. My first wedding as a stylist was while I was still in school.
