Do I serve cupcakes at the wedding reception on plates or is napkins an acceptable alternative?

We're also doing cupcakes and they'll have plates that match the same as the ones the cake is served on.

Plates would be more ideal. I love these from Sams, they're cheap and are nice quality.

I think it depends on the formality of your wedding. If it's black tie or formal, it would probably be better to have played but if it's more casual and say people are busy dancing, I think napkins are fine! Or even no napkin because cupcakes have the little wrappers anyway
