Cupcakes and cost?

Darcy, on November 23, 2019 at 4:20 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 16

For our second more casual wedding we were thinking of doing a cupcake tower. Has anyone else done this and if so what was the cost and how many do you recommend ordering per guest.

I think the general recommendation is 2 per guest. I'm making my own cupcakes, so the cost is just what the ingredients will cost me, I'm not sure about the cost for ordering them from a baker, unfortunately.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. I think I will order ( as I am a lousy baker) a couple of different flavors too to appease the different wants.

We are doing a cupcake tower that also includes tiny key lime pies. We’re getting married in Key West, so the pies will make sense. We plan on having enough for each guest to have two or three desserts. If there’s any left over, we’ll give them away at the end of the night. Our baker is going to help us figure out exactly how much of what we need once we have our final guest count.

I think one cupcake per person should suffice. Pending budget you could order from a grocery store. I like the idea of a small cake for you two to cut then cupcakes for the guests.

So we ordered 180 mini cupcakes in 6 diff flavors 24 regular cupcakes in 3 of the 6 flavors and 1 8 inch jumbo cupcake (cutcake) in lemon lavender and it cost 360 with delivery and set up. We're only having 24 guests but also using them as our favors

I'm doing cupcakes for my wedding. I have around 80 so far, but looked into getting 200 cupcakes. I priced it out from Sprinkles, a local cupcake bakery, and it was around $827, with around 6 different flavors

I would definitely do 2-2.5 per person if you are just doing cupcakes. I know some people will supplement a candy bar/chcoclate fountain/other desserts with them, which I feel would warrant 1-1.5 per person.

Cupcakes and cost? 1 Not exactly a cupcake tower. But this is what our wedding cakes going to look like. We did add an extra 25 more cupcakes to the package. We are renting the kickstand which is $100. We get $75 back when we return it in the same condition as we rented it. The total amount we paid for our cake is $320. But like I said we get $75 back after returning the cake stand.

We are getting our cupcakes and a small 8" cake for us from Kroger ( grocery store). They're willing to do the chocolate drip technique and everything. For 175 plus a cake, $150. And it's delicious.

We ordered a one tier cake and 5 dozen cupcakes for less than $200. We planned for 50 people knowing we were only expecting 46, just under 40 people attended so we had some leftovers but they were delicious the rest of the weekend.

We are having 84 mini cupcakes split up into 6 different flavors and a 6" single tier cake for the top of the tower. Total came to about $390. We're having around 45 guests.

If you order 2 per person like a few people have said, I think you’ll have a ton left over. The bakers we’ve met with have suggested 1 per guest, plus a little extra!

Hey Taylor! Yeah, I know it's a crazy good price. I've ordered cakes from my Kroger before and the lady who does the cakes at my Kroger - is really good! So I'd recommend talking to who ever does their cakes and bring a few photos with for examples. Sometimes in the specialty display at the counter, they have some of the not so standard things they do. Drip cakeCupcakes and cost? 2

Oh pretty!!! I'll have to do that. Anything with "wedding" in the name is insanely priced...
