Cruises....too many to choose from!!

We booked a cruise on Royal Caribbean this October, through cruisesonly.com. We found the best deal on this cruise and I read tons of reviews saying this is a great cruise line for honeymooners! We even have the option for them to decorate our suite with honeymoon stuff for like $40 bucks. We paid 1,100 total for a spacious room with its own balcony, 4 nights and 5 days to the bahamas, food included! They have tons of fun excursions we can book, including snorkeling and scuba diving, along with an adults only area with pools and hot tubs, etc. Just look at the activities available on each cruise line/ship and look at reviews!

Having cruised with Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Carnival before I'd recommend Royal Caribbean as my favorite. It had the best food overall and just the best atomsphere on the ship. Norwegian and Carnival were good too. Each line had something it did better than the others imo so you really can't go wrong with those three. I'd look at which ships specifically are used and see if one has amenities that you'd want that others don't since they can vary a lot

I have cruised with Norwegian once and Carnival over 10 times. Clearly, I love cruises. A majority of the time, the cruises have left from Miami. From there or Ft. Lauderdale (25 minutes away from each other) you will most likely have the most options for longer cruises and more port stops. I would look out of those 2 cities and see what destinations work best for you. On most sites you should be able to search by the port you are leaving from, the destination choices and date dram / length of cruise.

We looked at Carnival and Royal Caribbean. We know couples that have traveled with both, but ultimately we chose Royal Caribbean based off of our travel agents experience. We are in Northern NV and will fly to Puerto Rico for few nights and then leave on our cruise from there to the Caribbean. Super excited.

First after we chose we wanted to do a cruise for our honeymoon I started researching and seeing which lines were having booking sales at the time I wanted to book. The cruises that were having sales were Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian. I have been on Royal Caribbean before but not the other two. So after researching I asked for opinions and recommendations. I had sooooo many people tell me how great Carnival was plus I took into account my own experience I had on Royal Caribbean which wasn't the best.

That is how we decided on a 4 night 5 day Carnival cruise to the Bahamas for our honeymoon cruise! For our balcony room, excursions, and food/drink included we paid about $1100

Wow great deal!

I have been on both RCL and Carnival and I think they were both great. What would I do as a pp mentioned is check out the ships amenities. Some ships are newer with a ton of things to do and others are a little dated and don't have everything the newer ones do. This obviously affects price point as well. YouTube is a great resource- I love CruiseTipsTV- they share tours of ships, dining experiences and obviously tips! It's really helpful so you are prepared. I love seeing tours of the ships so I know what to expect.
