Crochet Hook for Dress Buttons

You can get one easily at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joanns. Seeing them in person might help in making the decision.

I would check with the seamstress if she has size recommendation. Crochet hook sizes are all over the place and one that's too big or too small would be super unhelpful.

You just want to be sure the hook is big enough to grab the button shaft, but small enough to fit through the buttonhole. My guess is you'd want something between 2mm & 3mm (often they're lettered, so that'd be a B, C, D, or E size).
