Crest White Strips or Professional Whitening

SpringyAprilBride2016, on March 6, 2016 at 11:09 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

Any recommendations? Is professional whitening better than using a box of Crest white strips?

I'd try the white strips first and see if that works before going the professional whitening route, which can be pretty expensive.

Professional will definitely be better but how much do you want to spend?

Depends how fast you want results. The over the counter whitening will work but will take longer.

The professional systems will show results sooner due to the stronger strength. Try the over the counter first. They are less expensive. Professional whitening can run $500 for one hour whitening or $250 for take home trays.

I found the crest strips hurt my teeth even if I got the ones that weren't supposed to be as harsh. But, they do work I saw improvement in a week using every few days.

I got my trays from my dentist. I had a lot of $ in an HSA so I went pro. It's all up to you. Start earlier if you go the white strips way.

Be careful if you use whiting strips. I have very thin enamel on my teeth and after using crest strip my teeth where whiter but if I eat or drank something with color my teeth would be stained until i brushed them. If you have thin enamel I recommend using whiting toothpaste or baking soda tooth paste. I also oil pull once a day and I have noticed a big difference.

If you can swing it, go professional. I got my teeth whitened professionally 12 years ago and they still gleam. I'm a HUGE coffee drinker, too, and nothing has changed them.

Crest white strips work, and for the cost, totally worth it.

Professional! The white strips made my teeth so sensitive I could barely drink water or any cool beverage for weeks!

I work at a dental office and the 2 hour in office whitening is $410, the custom trays though are $100 and enough gel to last a year is $36, so by them time you buy a couple boxes of the crest strips you could have bought the custom trays.

I've been swishing with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide (it cost me a buck a Target) and it keeps my teeth consistently white.

No sensitivity and who can beat that price?

A few years back I attempted to have zoom whitening done at the dentist. I admit i should have done more research. It was pretty painful and I ended up having a panic attack which ended a very expensive session early. I read later that people prone to anxiety attacks often have anxiety issues during the process. It's something I never would have thought of. I would try the strips first. If you arent satisfied research all of the professional options you have.
