Crepe paper flowers

Aly, on September 7, 2017 at 8:21 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 31

Hi-

Has anyone made bouquets/centerpieces with DIY crepe paper flowers? I've been experimenting with them and have been excited with how they've been coming out. Any advice would be appreciated!

I didn't do crepe flowers, but I did sola flowers. My advice would be to attach them to floral wire and to get those bouquet holders that have the Styrofoam balls in the center. I tried to just gather and wrap my bouquet without one and they just didn't turn out how I wanted. Once I switched to the bouquet holders it all came together splendidly! Much easier

I haven't tried this, can we see some pictures of the trials you've made? Are you following a tutorial you wouldn't mind sharing?

Wow those came out great! Love the colors and the fullness of them! I am doing book roses and would second the comment about getting the Styrofoam ball for the bouquet.

I just got one of those 6" Styrofoam balls from Michael's. Not the smooth ones or the green ones that hold water, the ones with the teeny holes. I did see they have ones with the stem/handle but I was using a lightsaber handle cause we are nerds like that.

Here's what mine looks like -

I didnt make them but bought my BMs Italian crepe paper "bouquets" from etsy, which is just a huge single rose. They are dramatic and beautiful!
