So I'm a size 6-8 and I really really love the look of simple silk crepe dresses. My best friends mom is making my dress and I really would love a dress like that (just very fitted, structured silk crepe dress) but I'm scared it will look terrible on me because I'm pretty curvy (boobs and butt) what do y'all think? Thanks!

I would go to a store and try on different shapes, just so you know for sure that is the look you want. I ended up in a completely different silhouette then i had envision and loved.

I've tried on dresses like that but never a silk one...and silk is NOT forgiving like other fabrics.

Isn't that what Pippa Middleton wore for the royal wedding....yea that is not forgiving at all! I wouldn't be able to pull it off, but if you can...more power to you girl!

I tried on Essence of Australia d1951, and was soooooo torn between it and another dress. It is the structured silk crepe that you describe! Perhaps you have a boutique in your area that has it in the shop and you can try it on It was so classic, simple, and gorgeous.
