I had the idea of listing some of the credits of who contributed to my wedding. Like who I hired for photography or who made my cake, who designed my dress Is that out of line? Has anyone done this can show me an example, what I should call it... I just thought it would be nice to advertise and give...

Also do I have to get permission from them first?

This seems fine. I had trouble envisioning it, but this works. Gratitude is lovely! Now that I've read it, I may find a way to do it. We have a restaurant that's providing a lot for a very little because of a business relationship. I wouldn't want to thank the restaurant by name but listing the owners might be nice.
As I'm thinking of it, my background is in theater and programs often have a space for special thanks.
