Creative Wedding Party jobs

Skullz&Rosez, on January 1, 2017 at 9:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Is there a creative way to incorporate other people in my wedding without actually standing at the alter? My best friends, who are a bridesmaid and her husband is a groomsman, and her daughter is my goddaughter and my flower girl. Well she has an older son who I feel shouldn't be left out but I just have no place for him, any creative "jobs" I can give him that he will feel a part of the wedding party? Help!

Im warning you the term "job" is not going to go over well here....they are family and friends not employees.

If you want to include him on your special day invite him to be an usher or do a reading

I think in this case we all realize the word job actually means an honor or special recognition. I think a reading would be nice or perhaps he could usher folks to their seats. Do you know if he wants to be involved?

I second the reading idea. That's what both of my brothers did for me to be included in their weddings. I liked it

Let him be a guest. You'd be amazed how well that goes over.

I would ask him to be an usher...depending on his age I recently went to a wedding where they had young men open the doors as people came in. Maybe a common courtesy but it stood out.

Usher, reading, hand out programs? Keep in mind he may not want a "job" and may be perfectly happy just to be a guest.
