Creative ways to incorporate my mother's dress

Hello all! I am looking for a creative way to incorporate my mother's wedding dress into my wedding! My mother and I are very close, and she and my dad have been married for 32 years so I would definitely like to incorporate something of hers into the wedding. However, she (these are her words) hated her wedding dress and is totally fine with me taking bits/pieces from it. My wedding is in 9 weeks so I obviously already have my own dress. My only thoughts so far have been to take some of the material from hers to wrap around the stem of my bouquet, or to make a garter out of some of the material. However, I just feel like there are better ideas out there that I'm not thinking of. I'd like it to be a semi-permanent souvenir I can keep (another issue with the bouquet idea), but I'm just stumped!

The ring bearer's pillow if you are having one.
Frame a piece of lace in a shadow box for the card or gift table.
Make a wrap for your dress.
Make a Christmas tree skirt.
Make a quilt.
Make yourself a clutch bag.
Make handkerchiefs for you and your Mom.
Have it totally remade into a rehearsal dinner dress.
Make a teddy bear for a possible future child.

I was planning to make a clutch purse out of the scraps of my dress after it's hemmed (hopefull they will save them for me if I ask!). Not sure you want to take on a project like making a simple bag or something out of pieces of the dress, but it's a thought? I also like the ring bearer pillow idea, or wrapping a piece around your bouquet!

Well the idea of me personally doing anything is basically out of the question. Unfortunately I am completely, utterly, and totally lacking in any creative skills. A seamstress should definitely be able to handle most of those suggestions, thank you!
